Not everyone has engaged in a virtual conference before. So here are some frequently asked questions to help you on your way.
How do I access the conference? All I see is a basic website.
In order to see the whole conference, you need to log into the conference website. You can do this by clicking login/signup in the top right hand of the website, or by clicking here: https://ram.psaecn.co.uk/wp-login.php
I don’t have a login?
Participants who have had their presentations accepted will have a login generated for them, while others who wish to participate will need to register here.
You will then be sent an email from firstname.lastname@example.org a few days before the conference begins.This will be sent to your email address you used to either send your abstract or register. This will contain your login username and a one-time use link for you to reset your password. Make sure to check your junk mail or spam folder if you can’t find it.

If you have forgotten your username, please use the same form as above but input your email.
How can I be sure my computer is compatible?
To participate in the conference, all you should need is an internet connection and a browser.
We have tested our website our website across Windows 10, some of the newer MacOS platforms, Linux and Android; using either Chrome or Firefox browsers. Provided your computer is relevantly up to date and can handle YouTube videos you should be able to access the conference.
We have designed the conference in such a way that the majority of content can be accessed without any additional software. In cases where we run social events, these will be done over free to access platforms such as Zoom.
Can I access the conference from my mobile?
The conference website is mobile friendly. However, due to platform limitations some functions might not run as expected. In this instance, we recommend setting your mobile browser to “desktop mode”.
On Android phones with Chrome, this can be done by going to your menu, and select “Desktop site”.
On Apple IOS phones with Safari, this can be done by tapping the “aA” icon in the top-left corner, then in your website view menu select “Request Desktop Website”.
Will there be a social program?
Alongside the panel chats, we will be hosting a pub quiz and awards show on the 9th July at 4PM. All event times are displayed as UK time, so please use a time converter to plan your schedule such as here: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Who do I contact for technical help if I continue to have access problems after troubleshooting on my own?
If you’re having trouble technical issues with your own hardware, we are unable to help. In these situations, we recommend talking to your own institutions IT department who might be able to help. If possible, try accessing the conference using another machine.
